I am somewhat new to Travel by Beth, but have been in the travel industry since I was tall enough to reach a keyboard. After graduation in 1985, I went into the business full time and haven’t looked back since. Throughout my career I have worked for a major airline in San Francisco, a travel agency in St. Croix, USVI, a travel agency in North Carolina where my account was a well-known Universities athletic program and also in North Carolina for a number of years as a corporate international travel specialist. The last 10 years I’ve really landed into what my true passion is and that’s group travel. I have focused recently on destination wedding group travel but am expanding my group business into other areas of the world.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 20 years and our 3 grown boys. We all love college basketball and college football and attend as many games as we can during the seasons. I am an avid runner, although in reality I’m more of a jogger, and have completed 4 half marathons over the last few years and have another one scheduled for 2020 ☺
What is your favorite destination and why?
My favorite destination – for now – always subject to change – is Mexico. I have traveled there extensively over the past 10 years and find that the people are very warm and welcoming and the quality of food and service at many of the resorts is exceptional.
What’s your dream destination to visit?
My dream destination – well, this one is subject to change too, but for now, my dream is to visit the Tuscany area of Italy. Art and history is a big draw for me as well as the food and wine offerings.
What will you not travel without?
Something I won’t travel without is a few interesting books. I love to read on the plane and it relaxes me at night before heading to bed.
